Below is a list of very helpful links that I have used in the past. They are completely reliable and safe, and I'd recommend them to anyone, which is why they are here of course!
Serebii
Serebii has all the latest Pokemon news and updates including new games, new episodes, events, and more. Serebii has a forum and many different pokedexes. The site also includes game walkthroughs, Pokemon anime, magna, movies, and TCG. If you want any informational mechanics or just a sneak peak at an upcoming game, this is just the place.
Pokemon Elite 2000
This site offers a little more or less in some places as the site above. One really great feature about this site that I use often is it's massive Pokemon sprite collections. You can find sprites dating back to Green version even! The collections also include trainer sprites, mini sprites, Trozei, and more. Pokemon Elite also has a fourm as well.
Bulbagarden
Bulbagarden offers the basics like the above links do, which includes news and updates. However Bulbagarden is the home of Bulbapedia, or a Pokemon version of Wikipedia. Other perks on Bulbagarden include an Oekaki, RPG, and Podcast.
Smogon University
Smogon is very different than the links above for lots of reasons. Smogon is a website that is just for competitive battling. It is great to use to build an effective Shoddy or Pokemon Online team and offers lots of different articles on competitive battling. Smogon is great especially for beginners, as it offers a tutoring service. There are many perks on the site, which includes a damage calculator, forums, podcast, web-zine issues, tournaments and more!
