This is just basicly about an old friend of mine that seems to have forgotten me a while back. I really love this poem and put a lot of thought into it. It means a lot to me... even thought its purpose isn't such a good one. Leave comments ^_^
So you say you're a great guy,
You seem to say that a lot.
But I see past that.
You aren't the person you were,
Everyone can see it now,
Past your fake laugh...
Fake smiles...
Out to impress them are you?
Have you thought about your old friends?
Yeah, that one girl.
What was her name again?
The one you can manage to look at,
Day after day,
Knowing her feelings don't matter to you anymore.
You're just blocking out the past,
Forgetting all the unraveled threads,
In what used to be friendship.
But instead of sewing it together,
It seems it's just messily held together,
With Scotch tape.
The fake personality tops it off,
And I eye you safely across the room,
As I wish I had my old best friend back.
However I know well enough,
It's merely a fantasy,
And knowing you can't hear me,
I whisper to you
"goodbye"
For the last time.
